Chronology of cameras Krasnogorsk
Second production of the Zenit KMZ with 1.6 million copies from 1977 to 1985.
This is a Zenit EM, not any more with an external selenium cell, but a cds exposure meter measuring through the lens. TTL= through the lens literally.
It therefore requires a battery and exposure control is done through the viewfinder by means of a pointer oscillating between a symbol + and a symbol -.
Flash shoe with sync from 1980.
The great innovation for those who have used previous models, is that the speed selection knob is locked when the shutter is cocked or triggered. The Zenit E did indeed turn the speed selection knob in the opposite direction when shutter was cocked.
Delivered with an Helios 44M f: 2 / 58mm with automatic preset.
See also the version with Olympic marking.
